Britain.. Charles III tends to violate the will of the late Queen

The newspaper “Daily Mail” quoted sources familiar with the events at Buckingham Palace, that Charles III intends, following his official coronation as King of Britain, to grant his wife a new title.

The late Queen Elizabeth II had announced before her death her “sincere desire” that Camilla Bowles be called “King’s Consort” when Prince Charles becomes king.

The newspaper said: “Buckingham Palace intends to officially refer to Camilla as a queen rather than the king’s wife … It is likely that the changes will come following the coronation of King Charles in May.”

A source told the newspaper: “There is a perception in the palace that the title of king’s wife is cumbersome and it may be easier for Camilla to simply be called queen when the time comes.”

The newspaper points out that Prince Philip was officially called the Prince Consort of the Queen, but he was not called that name. In addition, the wife of King George V was also technically a queen consort, but in public she was called Queen Elizabeth.

Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, who ruled the country for more than 70 years, died on September 8, 2022 in Scotland at the age of 96.
