LONDON – The design of a new British coin featuring King Charles has been unveiled. The new coin features a portrait of King Charles facing the late Queen Elizabeth. The design follows the tradition from 1660 onwards. The 50 pence and £5 coins featuring the King will be released in the coming months. There are currently 2700 crores of British coins in circulation featuring the image of Queen Elizabeth.
