American artist Britney Spears shares her painful experience, which she kept secret for 20 years. In her upcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me,” the pop icon revealed that when she dated American artist Justin Timberlake, she became pregnant with his child but miscarried. She wrote: “It was a surprise, but… “For me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin very much. I always expected that we would have a family together one day. This will be much sooner than I expected,” Spears, now 41, wrote regarding the pregnancy in the book. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy regarding the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were too young.”
“If it had been left to me alone, I would never have done it,” she wrote in the book. “And yet Justin was absolutely sure he didn’t want to be a father.”
“To this day, it is one of the most painful things I have ever gone through in my life,” Spears wrote of her miscarriage experience.
After Spears and Timberlake separated in 2002, she became a mother and gave birth to two sons.
