The German broker Trade Republic is entering the banking business. The company received a full banking license from the European Central Bank (ECB) shortly before its fifth birthday. This allows the company to expand its offering accordingly. The savings and deposit business is now being developed in the same way as lending. “Receiving the full banking license opens a new chapter in Trade Republic’s development to date,” says Christian Hecker, co-founder of Trade Republic.
