Brussels Airport Incident: Flight from Hamburg Goes-Around Due to Maintenance Vehicle Near Runway

2023-07-04 13:33:00

The pilot of the flight from Hamburg regained altitude while he was in the landing phase. Brussels Airport has confirmed that a maintenance vehicle may have been too close to the runway. “At no time was there any danger to the passengers. The safety procedures worked and led to a ‘go around’ (go-around of an aircraft on final approach for a new runway turn) of the aircraft on instruction from air traffic control”, it was explained. .

The airport will conduct an investigation to determine the causes of the incident.

The delegation was returning from an economic mission to the Hanseatic city in northern Germany.
