This Friday, November 10, 2023 around 7:15 p.m., the Brussels Fire Department responded to a call from the police for a risk of flooding in Saint-Josse.
”Following work at the corner of Chaussée de Louvain and Boulevard Clovis, there were no longer drains in the street. the water was flowing, through a hole under the sidewalk, and threatened to invade a home,” relates Walter Derieuw, spokesperson for the Brussels Fire Brigade.
Firefighters erected a sandbag barrier to protect the house and divert the water to a drain located lower in the roadway. The intervention ended around 10:30 p.m.
