Gunshots in the Belgian capital. A shooting took place on Sunday around 6 p.m. in Brussels, report several Belgian media including Le Soir and RTBF. Two people were seriously injured and were taken to hospital.
The events took place on Rue Lacaille, in the south of the Belgian capital, the spokesperson for the Brussels-Capital/Ixelles police zone told the Belga press agency. “On site, we discovered two people seriously injured,” he detailed.
“The perpetrators are on the run and are actively sought. The investigation has just begun,” the police spokesperson quickly concluded. For its part, the Brussels prosecutor’s office, contacted by several Belgian media, was not yet able to specify the motive for this shooting early Sunday evening.
