Brussels: the death of a sexagenarian camouflaged as suicide

A 60-year-old woman was killed on Wednesday in Saint-Gilles (Brussels) then her death was camouflaged as suicide, reports the Capital on Saturday. The information was confirmed by the prosecution.

It was a neighbor who warned the police on Wednesday following seeing the victim’s body hanging from the balcony of the 4th floor of a building located in rue de Mérode. “We can confirm that on October 12, around 1:30 p.m., the police were contacted to find a hanging. Upon arrival, the victim, a 60-year-old woman, was pronounced dead. The prosecution was then notified.confirmed the judicial authorities on Saturday.

An investigating judge has been appointed. According to La Capitale, the companion of the sexagenarian was deprived of liberty, which the prosecution did not confirm. “The judicial inquiry is underway to determine the precise circumstances of the facts”he contented himself with indicating.
