Last year, the Minister of Finance Bruno Le Maire announced, in September, a 2023 budget “to the nearest euro”, but the passage through Parliament resulted, three months later, in an increase of 7 billion euros of the State deficit compared to the initial copy. The finance bill (PLF) for 2024 begins its examination in Parliament on Tuesday, during its passage in the Finance Committee of the National Assembly. A first stage of the marathon which must keep the deputies in suspense until the end of December, and which will put pressure on the executive and the majority.
