According to the Burkina Information Agency (AIB), the Burkinabè government has requested the departure of French troops deployed on its territory. No official confirmation yet.

In Ouagadougou, the Burkina Information Agency (AIB), says that the Burkinabè government asked this week for the departure of French troops from its soil within a month.

According to a source close to the Burkinabè government, quoted by AFP, the Ouagadougou authorities have asked “the departure of the French soldiers in a short time”.

For the moment, no official confirmation from the authorities of Burkina Faso. No reactions from the French authorities either.

Since Captain Ibrahim Traoré came to power on September 30, 2022, demonstrations targeting France have multiplied in recent months in Burkina Faso.
