The Minister of Energy, Mines and Quarries Simon-Pierre BOUSSIM visited the Bagré Growth Pole, yesterday Friday April 07, 2023, in the province of Boulgou, regarding 240 km east of Ouagadougou. The Minister went to the Bagré hydroelectric dam used to supply SONABEL. On These visits were intended to encourage the workers of SONABEL for the efforts made during this peak period, and also to immerse themselves in the progress of the work with the company in charge of the construction project of the Zano power station. This photovoltaic solar power plant will contribute to a greener energy mix and reduce the country’s carbon footprint.
