Cachón finished third among the 208 Rallye4 of the Peugeot Rally Cup Iberica. This position served to him to adjudge the title. Cachón controlled the race on the six special stages in which Alberto Monarri from Madrid won, the only one who could snatch the championship from him if the Asturian was delayed or abandoned.
For his part, Diego Ruiloba from Pravia emulated Cachón and won the Suzuki championship. Ruiloba, who came out as the leader and winner of the Juniors, took the race in stride. Despite his rival’s victory in this rally, the Pravian won the title. As soon as he finished, Ruiloba and his co-driver got on and traveled to run the Central Mountain rally today.
