Paul Dürnberger, the 27-year-old leader of the FPÖ in the city of Salzburg, is coming under increasing pressure following pictures emerged showing him at a demonstration by right-wing extremist Identitarians. On Monday, such a photo of Dürnberger appeared on social networks. He is holding a yellow flag, which might be the flag of the Identitarian movement. Dürnberger was only announced last week as the Freedom Party’s top candidate for the local council elections in spring 2024.
