A Cambodian man has been killed following he fell into a pen containing 40 crocodiles on a private farm.

Luan Nam, 72, was trying to get a crocodile out of a cage using a stick, before the crocodile grabbed the stick and pulled the man inside.

Crocodiles turned around the man, tore his body to pieces.

“The crocodile grabbed the stick, which pulled the man into the enclosure,” said Siem Reap, Cambodia’s police chief.

He added that one of the man’s arms had been bitten and swallowed by crocodiles.

Reptiles are kept in Cambodia for their eggs and skins.
