Cancer patients in the country will be able to access three new drugs, without the need for judicial protection

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health announces a significant improvement in access to cancer treatments in the country. Now, treatments with Abemaciclib, Nivolumab and Ipilimumab, high-cost drugs that previously could only be acquired through legal protection, are available to all patients who need them.

Treatments with Abemaciclib, Nivolumab and Ipilimumab are now accessible without the legal barriers that in the past slowed down the process, a decision that represents a major step in comprehensive and timely care for cancer patients in the country.

Treatments with the drugs mentioned above, which are expensive, will be available both at the National Cancer Institute (Incan) and at all oncology centers under the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Health reiterates its commitment to the continuous improvement of care and quality of life for cancer patients, working to ensure that this type of progress continues to benefit those who need it most.
