The awards for best actors and actresses at the Golden Globes went to Cate Blanchett and Austin Butler, among others. Blanchett won for best actress in a drama film, Butler won for best actor in a drama film. Colin Farrell earned his nomination for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy, and Michelle Yeoh won the award’s female equivalent. Close, the Belgian entry for best foreign language film, failed to cash in on its nomination. The presentation of the film and television awards took place on Tuesday evening local time.
