Every month, we make a point of thanking each and every one of our readers who support us financially in Patreon or not Catharsis.
Our idea, since the beginning of MacMagazinewas to create something to be supported via — precisely for this reason, you have never seen and will never see a paywall in our content (which today is not just limited to the website, but a podcast, a YouTube channel, our social networks, a discussion forum, etc.). But the reality, unfortunately, is not that.
Currently, we have exact 161 bosses — a much smaller number than we’ve had in the past, by the way. Precisely for this reason, it is worth emphasizing here that all of you are very, very important for the health of the MM, regardless of value. The objective is, in a very direct way, to contribute whatever you can to us. We cover all expenses involving all aspects of the business; On top of that, we still offer different rewards depending on the amount chosen.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supports our work in MM, especially to our employers listed below. Know that *all* of you are contributing enormously to the maintenance of our project.
Despite the summer temperatures of the weekend, several ski resorts have decided to extend their season this year in Quebec, and people are there.
According to the most recent data provided by “Zone Ski” at the start of the day, here are the eight ski resorts that will be open following April 22:
Saint-Sauveur Summit: May 22
Le Valinouët: April 30, if possible
Mont Sainte-Anne: April 23
Trembling:23 avril
Blue Valley: April 29 (Saturday), if possible
Val Saint-Côme: April 23
Massif du Sud: April 23, date to be confirmed
Mont Sutton: April 23, if possible
Our journalist Audrey Folliot went in the morning to Sommet Saint-Sauveur, in the Laurentians, to see that the enthusiasm of skiers is still present, even in April.
The spring skiing conditions are exceptional, assures the marketing director of the resort.
“It’s good weather, that’s what people want at this time of year. Beautiful sunshine and beautiful, mild, warm temperatures,” says Christian Dufour.
Mr. Dufour adds that the station still intends to continue its activities until the end of May as far as skiing is concerned.
In the morning, the resort’s parking lot was packed, a sign that the enthusiasm of the skiers is not to be underestimated.
“With temperatures like this, what better way to break out your old Hawaiian shirt? It’s fantastic, the conditions are exceptional!” rejoices a skier.
A great season
The 2022-2023 season was exceptional with significant snow accumulations in the Laurentians.
“Here in Saint-Sauveur, we had a phenomenal season. A little more difficult with snowmaking, because we had slightly milder temperatures,” he said.

Lin Yonghe: School children returning to school following vacation may cross-infect influenza
17/4/2023 10:05
Lin Yonghe, a member of the Scientific Committee on Vaccine-Preventable Diseases and a family doctor, said that most of the clinics were closed during the Easter holiday, the emergency department of the hospital was full, and many patients had upper respiratory tract infections. Continuing to rise, there are fears of an outbreak, and there may be cross-infection as school children return to school following the holidays. Lin Yonghe pointed out in this program that the current flu vaccination rate is only 20% to 30% for those under the age of 5, and only 30% to 40% for those aged 65 or over. Spread by close-range droplets. He pointed out that every year, hundreds of elderly people or young children are seriously ill or even die from influenza infection. The government launched a plan in October last year to subsidize citizens aged 6 months to 18 years old, and those over 50 years old to receive influenza vaccines, calling on high-risk citizens to get vaccinated as soon as possible. .
