“Can Öncü’s quest for Supersport World Championship and Moto2 dreams: Updates and Analysis”
2023-04-26 12:02:55
“Can Öncü wants to win the Supersport World Championship and then switch to Moto2,” said Turkish manager and world champion maker Kenan Sofuoglu before the Assen weekend.
But then the 19-year-old was rammed off the track by Yari Montella (Barni Ducati) in the first corner of the second race on Sunday, fell and broke his left forearm, ulna and radius – just above the wrist and just below the elbow. Öncü will definitely miss the races in Barcelona in just under two weeks, but it is questionable whether he will be back in Misano in six weeks.
In the overall standings, following six races, Öncü has only half as many points as series winner Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Ducati) and is fifth. That doesn’t change much regarding his wishes for the future.
“I always listen to what my drivers dream of, but I also give them advice,” Sofuoglu told SPEEDWEEK.com. «Can would like to ride Moto2, which I can accept. He won the Red Bull Rookies Cup and then rode Moto3. He wasn’t successful there, so we found a job in World Supersport. I told him he has to have a very good Supersport season, then I’ll see if there’s any interest in him in Moto2. He might ride Moto2 and make the leap into the MotoGP World Championship from there. I won’t stop him from returning to the MotoGP paddock, that’s where he’s from. With more Supersport experience he may be able to do well in Moto2 and from that point he can fulfill his dream and make it to the MotoGP class. But we’ll have to wait and see how the season goes, especially now that he’s injured. He has to show more than he has done so far.”
Can Öncü has a five-year contract with Kawasaki team boss Manuel Puccetti that runs until the end of 2024. The Italian wouldn’t stand in the young Turk’s way: “If he dreams of Moto2 and finds a winning package there for next season, then we’ll talk like good friends and see what’s best for him. But moving to the Moto2 World Championship just to be there would ruin his career. He needs a winning package – which is difficult to get as of today.”

“France’s Housing Crisis: Medef President Calls for Urgent Action”
2023-04-26 11:37:24
According to the president of Medef, who echoes the demands of many players in the sector, France lacks hundreds of thousands of new homes.
Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux, January 18, 2023, in Paris (AFP / BERTRAND GUAY)
“We need roughly 500,000 new homes a year”. On the antenna of
RMC/BFMTV
Medef boss Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux repeated on Wednesday April 26 his concerns regarding the housing crisis in France,
calling it a “ticking time bomb.
“At one point, it gets stuck”
Quoting first “the rise in rates which means that half of potential buyers do not have their loans”, Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux evokes in parallel basic problems: “We want zero net artificialisation everywhere. At one point it gets stuck in relation to a demand which is strong”.
“It raises the price of rents, it creates a huge problem of purchasing power. We see it less than food, but it’s a time bomb!
New constructions that are not launched this year, we will pay for them next year,” he warns.
On Sunday, the president of Medef estimated that the housing crisis “should be the great national cause” in the coming years for Emmanuel Macron, stressing its importance in the household budget but also on work. On May 9, the government must present proposals resulting from the consultations of the National Council for Refoundation (CNR) to respond to the housing crisis: more than 4 million poorly housed people, new buildings broken down, energy renovations that are too slow, etc.

“Charlotte Flair: From Nerves to Confidence – A WWE Superstar’s Journey”
2023-03-11 08:00:00
Charlotte Flair is proud of her growth as a performer in WWE.
The SmackDown Women’s Champion addressed this topic during a recent interview on the podcast Cool To Be You, where she opened up regarding her past nerves in front of the camera and how she now relishes every opportunity she has in front of the WWE Universe. Interview highlights:
How much she loves being in front of the camera now:
I guess it’s just regarding making the most of every opportunity and when I’m on camera, taking advantage of it. I’ve been so up to so many. Now it feels like I’m here to buy my flowers, guys. I grow so much every year as a performer. I really enjoyed the level of calm and confidence and the ability to enjoy the audience while I was there.
Said the nerfs used to get the best of her:
Whereas before, you know, maybe sometimes my nerves got the better of me, or I just wasn’t in the moment. Now whenever I’m there I really enjoy the space in my career.
On her upcoming WrestleMania match with Rhea Ripley and her mindset:
I don’t think much has changed [depuis la première fois qu’ils se sont battus à WrestleMania], but yeah, that’s kind of where I’m at. I don’t need to beat you. You have to beat me.
In a separate interview, Flair talked regarding how much she enjoys playing a villain in WWE.
