The heads of the Juntos por el Cambio interblock requested this Thursday that be summoned “urgently” to the Chamber of Deputies the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa; the chief of staff, Augustine Rossi, and the head of the ANSES, Fernanda Raverta. The objective is for officials to explain the government’s decision to force state agencies to sell their bonds in dollars to obtain more financing and stop the rise in financial dollar prices.

Through his social networks, the head of the radical bloc, Mario Negri, announced the “urgent” call of the Legislative Procedure Commission to discuss the two decrees of necessity and urgency that the Executive Branch issued to implement the measure. In this sense, they will demand that Massa, Raverta and Rossi attend the bicameral commission to justify the issuance of the DNU.

“A DNU that handles the dollar bonds of the ANSES It must pass the congressional test. Will all Peronism approve that in the Senate? Will society not take to the streets? Are Massa, Cristina and Alberto so sure?” Negri wrote on Twitter. He added: “Let’s stop this barbarity in Congress and at the polls.

“In a scenario marked by a deteriorating economic market, multiplicity of exchange rates, gradual but sustained devaluation of the official exchange rate and a growing exchange rate gap, the determination adopted in DNU 164/2023 clearly shows harmful and detrimental to the interest of current and future beneficiaries of the pension system and contrary to the postulates of the Law for the Defense of the Assets of the Sustainability Guarantee Fund of the Argentine Provisional Integrated System”, details the document presented by the opposition.

And he adds: “It is clear that in the current macroeconomic and exchange rate no outside fund manager in the private sphere, much less in the publicmay consider that it is convenient for the interest placed in their care to divest themselves of dollarized assets to exchange them for others payable in national currency”.

The request was accompanied by Cristian Ritondo, Juan Manuel López, Rodrigo De Loredo, Margarita Stolbizer and Carlos Zapata. “I hope that Agustín Rossi urgently raises this DNU to the bicameral, where Together for Change is going to reject it for trying to change the composition of the FGS of ANSES to make interventions in the legal parallel dollar, as recognized by the PEN in fundamentals,” Tetaz added on his Twitter account.

In addition to the request of the block of Together for Change, from the Left, according to Romina del Plá, they will request the interpellation of the Minister of Economy to explain in the Lower House “the massive decapitalization operation that affects millions of retirees looting ANSES funds.” Added to this, they will present a project to advance in the formation of “a board of directors elected by workers and retirees to manage the retirement and pensions department.”
