A study conducted at the Rhodes Medical School in Poland found that coffee and tea help prevent atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
This study was published on the 5th according to the Korean Food Communication Forum (KOFRUM), and this meta-analysis conducted at the Department of Preventive Cardiology and Fatty Studies at Rhodes University Medical School in Poland concluded that coffee and tea consumption plays a role in lowering the risk of arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Additionally, a meta-analysis of 12 research papers showed that coffee consumption helps prevent arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease by increasing adiponectin concentration. Adiponectin is known as a ‘good hormone’ that helps prevent obesity, diabetes, and arteriosclerosis.
The research team said in the paper, “Consumption of coffee and tea was found to increase adiponectin concentration, reduce free radicals, and lower low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels, which are harmful to vascular health. Consumption of coffee and tea as part of a healthy diet “The conclusion of our study is that it is recommended,” he emphasized.
