Several wooden buildings on Main Street in Pullman City Park in Eging am See, Bavaria, went up in smoke. The origin of the flames was not yet known at the start of the followingnoon.
Around 200 people, including 180 tourists who had spent the night in the park, were able to take shelter. Pullman City occupies an area of approximately 200,000 square meters in the Bavarian city.
Sunday midday, the remains of certain buildings reduced to ashes continued to smoke.
Police said a park employee was slightly injured while trying to put out the blaze, as was a firefighter.

A man riding a snow loader deliberately rammed into several cars last week in the parking lot of a Home Depot in Nebraska.
When the police arrived, Samuel Peyrot chose to continue his rampage by attacking the patrol car.
The officer got out of his vehicle and drew his gun, but did not shoot.
The 36-year-old man was arrested following damaging several vehicles and lightly injuring one person.
