Al-Marsad Newspaper: A number of citizens recounted the details of their exposure to fraud through fake remote training advertisements on social media platforms, as those in charge of them took advantage of their need for employment and professional development.
Qasim Al-Buraik, one of the victims, said: “I found in one of the advertisements a training course outside the Kingdom that suits my interest from a distance, so I applied for it to get it, and they said it was accredited, and its price was good.”
He continued: “I took the course, and submitted the certificate to my employer, but it turned out that the course was not accredited and unacceptable,” indicating that he had destroyed the certificate, and searched for accredited certificates inside the Kingdom.
In the same context, Aisha said: “Some addresses on the Internet in institutes outside the Kingdom caught my attention, as there are well-known doctors among them and their names are resonant. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with one course, rather I took a series of courses, and paid for them, and I did not pay attention to the website in a proper way, so my money went away. The website was incorrect, and I was a victim of fraud.”
