German companies make large investments in Brazilian logistics
2023-05-26 13:13:31
Brazilian logistics has been receiving a series of investments aimed at protecting the sector and promoting the country’s economic growth. These investments aim to modernize the infrastructure, improve operational efficiency and increase cargo transport capacity, bringing benefits to the Brazilian economy.
Logistics plays a strategic role in the economic development of Brazil, providing an efficient, safe and sustainable means of transport for the flow of products. The modernization and expansion of the infrastructure contributed to the reduction of logistical costs, the increase in the competitiveness of Brazilian companies and the creation of jobs. As a result, companies in the sector from other countries have seen Brazil as a source of investment opportunities.
According to sources from the Ministry of Infrastructuresince 2019, 79 infrastructure assets have been auctioned to the private sector, ensuring more than BRL 89.6 billion in private investments for airports, railways, ports and highways in the country.
One of the most notable partnerships is between the German company Siemens and Rumo Logística, one of the main logistics operators in Brazil. Last year, Siemens announced an investment of 1.5 billion reais in the modernization of Rumo’s network. This investment includes the adoption of advanced technologies to improve the efficiency and safety of operated operations. Siemens expects that this modernization will significantly increase transport capacity and reduce logistical costs, benefiting both the company and the Brazilian economy.
Another German company that is betting on the Brazilian railway sector is Deutsche Bahn, one of the largest transport and logistics operators in the world. In 2019, Deutsche Bahn acquired an equity stake in América Latina Logística (ALL), one of Brazil’s leading consolidated logistics companies. According to the company itself, this strategic partnership aims to improve infrastructure and optimize cargo transport services in the country. Deutsche Bahn brings with it its vast experience and know-how in efficient and environmental operations.
For louis fields, a specialist in the Brazil-Germany trade market, these investments in Brazilian logistics are a clear demonstration of foreign interest in Brazil’s potential as a growth market. According to him, “the vast territorial extension of the country and the need for an efficient transport infrastructure offer promising opportunities for international companies. Germany is very interested in investing in Brazil, as it sees an opportunity for business expansion and lasting partnerships in the country”.

“Young Violets vs FC Flyeralarm Admira: Exciting First Half Ends in Goalless Draw”
2023-05-26 19:59:17
Quiet start- Exciting end of the first half
The first ten minutes were quiet, but then the game picked up speed. The Young Violets had their first chance through Kreiker, following a dribble into the box he found Denis Dizdarevic, but his shot went wide. Three minutes later, the guests apparently made it 1-0, but referee Walter Altmann had already interrupted the game for a foul on Niels Hahn. The game went back and forth, Gattermann and Davies tested Austria’s goalkeeper, while Admira complained a little later regarding a hand penalty. However, Austria had the greatest chance in the first half when Denis Dizdarevic was alone in front of goalkeeper Christoph Haas following a pass from Mester, but only hit the woodwork. Shortly followingwards, in the 39th minute, it was Mester once more who served a team-mate perfectly. This time Luca Pazourek hit the crossbar. So it was a goalless 0-0 at half-time.
Little going on following the break
The second half mightn’t match the pace of the first half. Both sides largely neutralized each other and seemed content with the goalless draw. Only in the 78th minute did Csaba Mester have the chance to decide the game following a nice combination, but missed the goal. The Südstadters then got their second breath and had the last two big chances through Reinhard Young, but Sandali Conde in the Young Violets goal made brilliant saves both times.
With the tie, the Young Violets are now firmly one of the bottom three teams in the league.

“Understanding Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment”
2023-05-26 17:04:11
Posted on: Friday, May 26, 2023 – 8:00 PM | Last update: Friday, May 26, 2023 – 8:00 PM
A person may wake up one day with sadness in his heart that he does not know its source: no event or news arouses grief or evokes sadness, nor does pain support it, but rather a state of confusion «haze and psychological weakness. There have been events or events that have passed.. But it may also be something that you do not think of: Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
Psychologists classify seasonal affective disorder as a spectrum of depression that is closely related to seasonal climate changes (SAD), in which a person experiences a feeling of depression and a desire for isolation, perhaps for days or part of the day, and loses interest in the vital activities that he used to practice and do daily, then the symptoms vary between reluctance to eat A desire to sleep, difficulties in concentrating, attempts to escape from normal daily duties, a desire to remain silent and avoid speaking.
According to medical statistics, twenty percent of North American citizens (the United States and Canada) suffer from mild bouts of it, although there are severe cases that require hospitalization for psychiatric treatment.
The main cause of seasonal affective disorder until now is unknown, but there are explanations for it that may fulfill its purpose, including the difference in the number of hours of the night and day from each other, the different air temperatures, and exposure to sunlight or not, and these are influencing elements in causing several variables, directly or indirectly, linked to a low level of stress. Human psychological mood in humans: including changes in the biological clock of the daily rhythm, the availability of serotonin in the brain, and then the disturbance of the mechanism of activating the balance of the level of the hormone melatonin.
Science believes that exposure to sunlight stimulates the secretion of serotonin, which gives the soul a feeling of joy and helps to focus, while the receding light stimulates the secretion of the hormone melatonin, which supports the desire for sleep.
Numerous scientific studies confirm that one of the strongest reasons for the decrease in serotonin in the brain is the low periods of exposure to sunlight. Indeed, there is what is known as “February sorrows” from that spectrum of spectrum of depression that afflicts, especially the elderly, as a result of their isolation in their homes in the month of February, when snow falls and the cold reaches its peak in Canada, and they are rarely exposed to direct sunlight.
The change of seasons and the difference between the length of the day and the length of the night causes an imbalance in the level of the hormone melatonin, which plays a pivotal role in regulating the sleep process and moderating the psychological mood.
How does a person face the sway of seasonal affective disorder?
Maintaining psychological vitality during the succession of seasons is something that a person must pay attention to. Commitment to the usual amount of sleep that is consistent throughout the seasons of the year so as not to disturb the biological clock rhythm and exposure to sunlight for sufficient periods during the day, especially in the morning
They provide people with positive energy that dispels the sense of gloom that accompanies the successive periods of changing seasons.
I think it is really important information that I wanted to share with you. I had to know it when I was invited to attend a lecture given by a doctor specializing in geriatric medicine at the weekly symposium that the Royal Victoria Hospital invites and allows everyone to attend.
Hospitals here not only provide medical service, but also practice many other service activities for human health.
May you all be safe
