Since the global health crisis linked to the coronavirus pandemic, the domestic tourism sector in Côte d’Ivoire has experienced a boom. It is carried by a new generation of tourism professionals who have taken advantage of social networks to generate interest, and ultimately, to create their business selling tourist circuits. Encounter. From our correspondent in Abidjan, “At the beginning, it was really social networks: Instagram, Facebook…” Young student, Aymard Zouzoua Landry posts photos and videos of his trips to Côte d’Ivoire, which he organizes originally with limited resources. The entrepreneur recounts the genesis of his project: “People started to say to me: ‘Ah, but Landry, why don’t you create an agency like that, you make us travel and everything, something a little professional, etc. Because we can’t travel the way you describe.” Because in my blog, I described a little bit the rustic side, taking public transport. There are people who wanted to travel, but in a more professional, easier way. It is in this sense that I started to do personalized group outings. Today, Aymard Zouzoua Landry is followed by more than 36,000 people on Instagram, and has developed “Abidjan Le Rempart”, a company responsible for organizing private stays in all regions of the country. “These are things that did not exist before us. We came with our creativity, our ideas, our innovations, and we offered a service that pleased Ivorians and foreigners,” he says. ► To read also: Southwest Ivorian, the new tourist eldorado: crazy rumor in Niega (1/3) A new generation Like Landry, Maïmouna Coulibaly began by documenting her travels on social networks. Today, his agency Moon Drive employs five full-time people and 50 non-permanent collaborators. “When I arrived in the tourism sector, few young people were promoting Côte d’Ivoire,” she recalls. Today, young people everywhere are interested in it. It means that we have achieved something: to give hope to these young people and above all to show them that we have a beautiful country that should be known. ► To read also: South-West Ivorian, the new tourist eldorado: crazy rumor in Niega (2/3) These new tourism players have been meeting for four years within the “Apéro Tourisme 225”, a way to share experiences . The Ministry of Tourism now wants to regulate the sector by granting licenses to these new travel agencies. An approach that these professionals welcome. “It is important to structure this sector, especially at the level of young people who have just made their entrances, believes Maïmouna Coulibaly. Before, it was very well structured, with classic travel agencies, tour operators… But if there are new entrants who have another way of presenting the tourist thing, there obviously have to be rules or laws to support these activities and allow them to flourish. In Côte d’Ivoire, the tourism sector contributes 5% of GDP. The authorities hope to increase this share to 7% of GDP. 270,000 people have jobs related to tourism. ► To read also: Southwest of Côte d’Ivoire, the new tourist eldorado: saving the ecosystem of Fresco and its lagoon (3/3)

“The Gospel on the Air: Celebrating 100 Years of Radio Worship (1923-2023)”
2023-05-18 18:45:55
On May 18, 1923, a cult was broadcast for the first time on French-speaking radio. Live from Cointrin, Pastor Raoul Dardet transmits prayers, readings and a sermon using an improvised transmitter.
Only seven months following the creation of Radio Romande, a pastor therefore understands the opportunity offered by this new medium for the Word, with a capital “P”, to be conveyed and transmitted.
Guest of 12:30 p.m. Friday, Mathias Wirz, producer of the cult broadcast every Sunday on Espace 2, was able to immerse himself in these sound archives. Archives which make it possible to retrace a whole section of our history, such as when Pastor André Bovon speaks to Swiss soldiers, a few days following the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany: “He is the winner who advances, knowing where he goes, and holding firm in the face of the attacks of the devil, in the face of weariness, in the face of discouragement”, we can then hear him say.
“Historical events bring people together. They create a communion in a fairly broad way and this is also transmitted in worship. It was precisely at this time that Catholics also began to invest in the radio medium, to transmit masses”, explains Mathias Wirz.

A fund that remains, means that change
A hundred years later, cults have kept their place on the airwaves, and even seen their audience grow on certain occasions, such as during the coronavirus pandemic.
But if the DNA remains the same, the technical means have changed a lot. “We are no longer in a makeshift studio. For several decades, we have been traveling to different places where assemblies gather to celebrate. It is therefore the choice of live on site to share it with a wider audience than the only ten or hundreds of faithful who gather in the temples”, concludes Mathias Wirz.
Note that this hundredth anniversary will continue to be celebrated on Espace 2 until the summer, with extracts from the archives at the start of the hour, in order to recall some of the key moments of this radio tradition.

The final versions of macOS 13.4, iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 and of watchOS 9.5 are therefore available since tonight. If the few new features of these updates do not thrill you more than that to push the install button, know that these versions also and above all integrate a list of fixes as long as a day without a hot raisin bun (iOS, macOS, watchOS).
And among these vulnerabilities, three in particular stand out since they are ” zero day » : in other words, they can currently be exploited by pirates. Numbered CVE-2023-32409, CVE-2023-28204 and CVE-2023-32373, they all concern WebKit, Safari’s rendering engine. The first “breaks” the Web Content sandbox, the second displays sensitive information, the third can allow the execution of arbitrary code. Two of them had been fixed by the urgent security update for macOS 13.3.1 and iOS 16.4.1.
Suffice to say that it is in your best interest to download these updates and install them right away! Apple is also releasing iOS 15.7.6 with similar security fixes for devices that aren’t compatible with iOS 16. macOS 11.7.7 (Big Sur) and macOS 12.6.6 (Monterey) are also available.
Previous versions of iOS and macOS also fixed zero-day flaws.
