It was certain that a national government that proposed to destroy the State and in particular Public Education, was not going to finance these projects any more.

But the provincial education authorities, if they understood anything regarding the subject of their jurisdiction, should know that they are destroying not only the orchestras, choirs and bands that have operated in the Educational System for ten years, but that a model of social construction of the knowledge that has transformed the lives and trajectories of thousands of children, their families and all those who have sustained and made it possible.

A true educational innovation recognized by many specialists and researchers that, due to its structure, its functioning as a teaching and learning instance, should be replicated in other areas of knowledge if we really want to produce changes that aim to achieve better results in education.

Few educational proposals have achieved in such a short time the results that children’s and youth orchestras have achieved.

Not to mention the effects and social support that I believe is unprecedented in the educational field. I hope the authorities have the intelligence, the professionalism, the wisdom to ensure that this project does not disappear.
