The woman was keen to remind Adriana to be fully prepared because Max was in a very bad situation. When Adriana and her husband Banta Farkaš heard regarding it, they didn’t waste a moment and found the dog and its owner that same day.
When they arrived at the scene, they mightn’t believe their eyes. “It looks very heartbreaking,” Adriana told The Epoch Times.
Although Max was in pain under the weight of his thick fur, his affectionate eyes seemed to tell Adriana that he had been looking forward to being rescued.
After a brief conversation with Max’s owner, the Farkas tried to convince him to allow them to take Max away so that he might have a better life. The owner was reluctant at first, but following the Farkas offered some money, he agreed.
The couple were delighted to have successfully rescued the dog and brought it to their grooming salon. It wasn’t until they brought him into the store that they realized Max’s condition was worse than they had imagined.
“His fur was covered in excrement,” Adriana said. “I was so heartbroken that I mightn’t breathe. I mightn’t believe that someone was watching him get into this situation.”
“Then I looked at the dog and saw sadness in its eyes, and from that moment on, I dedicated myself to its rescue.”
The work of repairing Max lasted a full 9 hours, and Adriana and her team made great efforts. His fur was incredibly thick and tightly tangled, and several scissors and knives were broken during the trimming process, but the team ultimately completed the daunting task with flying colors.
During the trimming process, they realize that even a moment’s lapse in concentration can cause serious harm to the dog, so they remain focused throughout. But when the last strand of hair was shaved off, they felt that all the effort was worth it, because Max’s gentle eyes showed relief and happiness.
After a long and arduous grooming process, Max was taken to the veterinarian for a health check. It wasn’t long before the elderly pooch found a forever home.
“He now has a wonderful family and the love he needs,” said Adriana, who often sees Max when he comes to the store for beauty treatments. “It will never be ignored once more.”
