Events.- A 27-year-old military officer, identified as Leonardo Enrique Cardozo Hernández, was arrested at the request of the Public Ministry (MP) for his alleged responsibility in the death of the 16-year-old teenager Yordan Ramón Gómez Roldán.
This event occurred on January 1, 2024, in the San Jacinto sector, Cruz Carrillo parish, Trujillo state. According to information from the MP, the victim was inside the facilities of a military casino that day, having sexual relations with another army asylum seeker, a partner of the aggressor.
Cardozo Hernández surprised them both and began to beat the teenager until he was unconscious, then suffocated him and inserted a stick through his anus.
The military personnel, following what happened, threw the victim’s body into the local pool, with the intention of simulating that he had drowned.
The teenager’s body was found the next day by a sergeant from the same military component and he alerted Cicpc officials.
The investigative work coordinated by the MP determined Cardozo Hernández’s responsibility for the death of the 16-year-old boy, for which he was detained in the aforementioned facility, El Cooperante narrates.

It’s all regarding this: The departure on Thursday was “just” the warm-up for the traditional Wengen weekend, which is going up a notch once more today with the Super-G. Then on Saturday there is the classic “Lauberhorn” run, which is by far the longest run in the circus at over 4,000 meters long. The Super-G today will not differ significantly from the downhill in many passages, the terrain is sometimes too narrow.
The favorites: The question remains whether a plurality is needed at the moment, because wherever Marco Odermatt starts, he seems difficult to beat. His first World Cup victory in the downhill race on Thursday was a relief for him – he didn’t seem to have to untie any knots at all. The 26-year-old dominates the World Cup. The only competitor who was dangerous to him was apparently Marco Schwarz. And yet: Others can also ski, like Aleksander Aamodt Kilde or the increasingly consistently fast Cyprien Sarrazin.
The Austrians: It is said that in the fast disciplines an Austrian is always good for the podium. This is not the case at all in the downhill race this year, even following the first Wengen race the ÖSV stars around Vincent Kriechmayr are licking their wounds. Things went better in the Super-G, with Kriechmayr and Hemetsberger taking a double victory in Val Gardena, and Raphael Haaser coming in second in Bormio. In this respect, hopes for a podium in the “fast” races in Wengen are probably highest today.
