Vivianne Miedema scored her first goal since her return on Sunday. The Dutch international helped Arsenal to a league victory over Liverpool: 0-2. In Spain, Esmee Brugts contributed with a goal to a 0-6 victory for FC Barcelona over Real Betis.
The 27-year-old Miedema opened the score for Arsenal visiting Liverpool following an hour of play. The striker found the goal with a shot from the edge of the box.
For Miedema it was her first goal since December 2022. She was then out of action for months due to a serious knee injury. The attacker made her return to Arsenal last October.
