Friday followingnoon, in Bressoux, a man residing illegally who had just entered a home that was not his, received numerous blows from two brothers; the sons of the tenant of the premises.
Onlookers saw the individual enter the house with a bicycle and come out with nothing… Among these privileged observers was the son of the tenant of the house who has a serious criminal record. The latter joined the individual staying illegally and kept him there. He then called his brother, already convicted by the Liège courts for acts of violence, who quickly arrived on site. There, the illegal resident received serious blows to the face and body. The doctor who examined him gave him ten days’ incapacity for work. A crowd quickly formed around the three protagonists with palpable tension between the “supporters” of the two brothers and those of the illegal resident.

The Liège police put an end to the scene with great diplomacy. The three protagonists were deprived of their liberty for the night. The illegal resident explained that he had entered this house that he had just rented and that he was unaware that it was already inhabited. Obviously, his version didn’t hold water. A 47-year-old woman died Saturday evening in a probably accidental fire in a building in Colmar in France, we learned from the public prosecutor’s office. Swiss people living in furnished tourist accommodation nearby will have to be relocated.
