Sycamore Studios Set to Bring “Zita the Spacegirl” to the Big Screen
Sycamore Studios is punching above its weight, securing the rights to turn the bestselling graphic novel series “Zita the Spacegirl” into a major animated feature film.
This ambitious project adds to the studio’s already impressive development slate, which also includes a fresh take on the classic “Doctor Dolittle” featuring the writing talents of Cal Brunker and Bob Barlen, the creative duo behind the “Paw Patrol” movies.
The acquisition of “Zita the Spacegirl” comes hot on the heels of a successful Series A funding round, which was reportedly oversubscribed, injecting Sycamore with mid-seven-figure financing to fuel its operations and productions.
