All their theatrical works bear the seal of quality, which reflects their love and passion for the theater. Hence they touch the viewers deeply. The reason for the theater group “together” of the 1st ELME Achaia, presenting “Women’s Passions”, on Wednesday September 25 (at 21:00) at the Marina Theatre, with the support of the Deputy Mayor of Education and Supervision.
“Our goal is to penetrate the issue of women’s passions, that is, the show should not only concern the gender violence of our time, but more generally the situation that women live in from ancient times to the present day” he explains, speaking to “PtD”, the “soul” of the group Fotis Lazaris, who did the text selection, dramaturgical processing and direction.
The peculiarity of the performance lies in the fact that it combines speech with music, songs and movement. “These are monologues by five women, who are essentially the same woman, either from Lebanon or from America (Blanche Dubois)” notes F. Lazaris, to continue: “At the same time, there are the songs, performed by the female vocal ensemble “Timbres” under the direction of the great teacher Dora Petridis, as well as the music, which intensifies the feminine feeling, the feminine nature, which we are interested in highlighting”.
What made it more difficult for him? “Turning the choir of Dora Petridis into a women’s dance. I explained to them that in order to convey the feminine feeling, they should not perform the songs, but empathize with the women in the monologues.
“The dividing lines between men and women are meaningless” he concludes “The society we dream of is to be together. And a generation must be found that will cut the thread that binds all evil demons through the ages.”
