The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced the results of three separate licensure examinations for mechanical engineers on Thursday, February 19, 2026. A total of 3,264 out of 6,294 passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination, while 100 out of 120 candidates succeeded in the Certified Plant Mechanics Computer-Based Licensure Examination. 231 individuals passed the Technical Evaluation for Upgrading as Professional Mechanical Engineers.
The exams, administered earlier this month, represent a significant milestone for aspiring engineers across the Philippines. The Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination and the Certified Plant Mechanics exam were held at testing centers in Metro Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Zamboanga, and Puerto Princesa. Jose Arnil Colina Corong Jr. From Visayas State University-Baybay achieved the highest score in the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination, earning a remarkable 93.25%. The University of the Philippines Diliman demonstrated exceptional performance as the top-performing school, with all 64 of its examinees passing the exam. Chryss Adamme Traspe Hallegado of Mindanao State University – General Santos City topped the Certified Plant Mechanics Computer-Based Licensure Examination with a score of 87.65%. The Technological University of the Philippines Manila also excelled, with 11 of its 12 examinees passing. Registration Details for New Professionals
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Cards (IDs) and Certificates of Registration will begin on April 10, 2026, and will be conducted online through the PRC website, www.prc.gov.ph. Applicants are required to submit a downloaded, duly accomplished Oath Form, a notice of admission (for identification purposes), two passport-sized photos with white backgrounds and complete name tags, two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope.
