On the field, the E-Juniors of ISC AlHilal had been enjoying their training sessions, with youth leader Mohamed Chaaboute noting their enthusiasm: “Even at school, they don’t think about anything other than training and are happy when they are allowed to go on the pitch in the evening.” However, this joy was abruptly interrupted by the break-in.
Chaaboute recounted the aftermath of the incident, stating, “Our first youth leader immediately drove to the square. The whole container was destroyed. That’s why it was natural for us to help out with balls so that training can continue.” Patrick Merl, from SSV Plittersdorf, echoed this sentiment, stating, “With such an unpleasant incident, the sporting rivalry doesn’t matter. We wanted to help our neighboring club quickly.”
