The life of María Patiño (52 years old) changed completely when the Mediaset executives decided to end ‘Sálvame’. It closed on June 23, 2023. The set that had been her home for so many years was dismantled and the television personality, like the rest of her colleagues, had to look for a new occupation. They were not good times for her. “Each one has dealt with that process in a different way. I have had a very bad time, but not because the program is over, but because I felt like I was disappearing from the map and that all that wonderful newspaper archive was despised,” he confessed months later. This farewell was accompanied by his end at the helm of ‘Socialité’. Time has passed and his luck has changed. He presents the revival of the Fábrica de la Tele format, ‘Ni que fueramos Shhh’, and is also regarding to host Ibai Llanos’ ‘La noche del año’.
He will never understand the reason for the cancellation of ‘Sálvame’ following having given so many good audience figures for so many years, but the most inexplicable thing was the behaviour of the channel. Many of the workers found out regarding the news live and it is something that he will never forgive them: “I’ve given a lot of thought to why.But since I think I’ll never have an answer, I prefer to look ahead. Because in the end I’m just an ant in this whole story and they’ve run me over.”
The drastic change that Maria Patiño suffered
María Patiño, one of the most recognisable faces of the small screen, experienced difficult times when she suddenly found herself without a job and without going to a studio every day. Thank goodness the production company of ‘Sálvame’ gave her the opportunity to host ‘Ni que fuéramos Shhh’. This format recovers her essence alongside some of those colleagues with whom she had shared so many followingnoons, such as Belén Esteban, Kiko Matamoros or Lydia Lozano.
As if that were not enough, Ibai Llanos has trusted her to be the co-presenter On July 13th, one of the events of the year in the world will take place streaming: the fourth edition of La Velada del Año. “Let me tell you something very important. It’s very brief. I’m going to co-present the fourth Ibai Llanos Evening of the Year. They proposed it to me this morning and I’m very happy and They will see me in the world whole. In Japan included,” she announced on Canal Quickie. After what she has been through, this marks the beginning of a new stage for the woman from Ferrol who began her professional career in the Seville branch of the Europa Press news agency.
A graduate in Journalism, María Patiño has had a varied career before establishing herself on the small screen. She was at Giralda Televisión, at the official agency of ‘Diez Minutos’ in Andalusia and at Canal Sur Radio. It was precisely the latter that gave him the opportunity to appear on television for the first time on the programme ‘Ven con nosotros’ in 2001. From there she moved to Antena 3 with ‘Sabor a verano’ and between 2002 and 2004 she participated alongside Ana Rosa Quintana in the programme ‘Sabor a ti’. Her first time as a presenter was alongside Dani Martínez and Jaime Cantizano on ‘A3Bandas’, in 2007.
The moment when Maria Patiño rose to fame
None of these projects was as important to his CV as ‘Where are you, my heart?’, presented by Jaime Cantizano. This was what made María Patiño so famous. Her strong character and her way of laughing at herself, as well as her wit when dealing with interviewees, caught the public’s attention during the eight seasons in which she worked as a collaborator, a role she held until 2011. That would only be the beginning. After the disappearance of the major gossip formats on Antena 3, she moved to the competition. It was on Mediaset España where she developed a good part of her television career.
Following a very personal interview he gave on the successful Telecinco programme ‘La Noria’, They decided to sign her as a collaboratorShe joined other formats such as ‘El Programa de Ana Rosa’ and ‘Sábado Deluxe’. She joined ‘Sálvame’ in 2014. She gradually made her way until she established herself as one of the format’s presenters.
Her career has not been limited to this, however. She has also made cameos as an actress in ‘Torrente 4: Lethal Crisis’, an episode of ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’ and in the short film she released in 2015, ‘La cara del diablo’.
Tonke Dragt was born in the Dutch East Indies and spent three years in a Japanese concentration camp with her mother and sisters during World War II, where she drew on the walls and, with a friend, “erased notebooks” and started writing, “because there was nothing to read”. “We wrote regarding very tasty food and very wide distances, regarding things we didn’t have behind barbed wire,” Tonke Dragt said.
After the war she moved with her family to the Netherlands. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. Originally she became a drawing teacher, but to keep the children focused, she told them stories.
These stories formed the basis of her later youth novels. ‘Towering High and Miles Wide’ (1969), ‘The Towers of February’ (1973) and ‘Secrets of the Wild Forest’ (1965) are eversellers.
Asuncion, IP Agency.- Four members of the Lince Group caused a stir with their sudden appearance among hundreds of children and adolescents who attend the “Vy’a Renda” Open Schools in the district of San Juan Bautista, Misiones.
Not even the days of intense cold prevented the young students of the Dr. Pedro P. Peña Elementary School No. 237 from attending the games and entertainment days during these days of winter vacation, where sports disciplines and artistic events are mixed.
This is one of the educational institutions that is part of the SUMAR Plan actions, and that every Saturday receives 150 participants from 5 to 18 years old, but due to the inclement weather in the previous days, they postponed the sessions for this first week of vacation.
Two groups of Lynxes visited the children of this school in Misiones to contribute to the comprehensive training of students and the prevention of the consumption of psychoactive substances in schools, causing enthusiasm in the young participants.
Lince Group seeks to create a close bond with students

This is a joint effort between the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC) and other institutions, in this case the National Police, in the fight once morest the scourge of drugs.
The Director General of Inclusive Education, Digna Gauto, stated that these activities demonstrate that the inter-institutional coordination of the State works within the country, in order to continue the learning process through healthy practices.
The Lince Group came to this school to share a few minutes of talks and exhibitions with the students, creating an atmosphere of proximity with the educational community.
“They are promoting things, talking regarding school safety, safety on the streets, talks that the police give in schools, and also, they make displays, they lift them up on the motorcycle and put the helmet on them. So it is regarding seeing the police up close so that they feel that they are their friends and they can trust them in any situation that may arise, and they make comments,” he explained.
Schools remain open in the face of cold weather

He mentioned that 150 participants are allowed in each of the Open Schools, and although in some departments of the country not all the children go due to the cold or drizzle, the activities continue for those who can go.
“In some places, not everyone goes, regarding 100 children attend, but it is understandable, since many parents protect them so that they do not have health problems, and above all, there is a recommendation from the Ministry of Health that tells them not to expose them too much to very low temperatures, but it continues anyway, and those who go continue with their activities,” he added.
This project is part of the SUMAR plan, promoted by the Government of Paraguay and its institutions for the prevention of the consumption of psychoactive substances in children, adolescents and young people.
There are currently 200 schools that receive 150 students from vulnerable areas, from the Initial Level, Basic School Education, Third Cycle to Secondary Education, carrying out sports, recreational, artistic and literacy activities.
This initiative seeks to guarantee access to educational opportunities, encourage participation and promote principles and values such as respect, order and the development of interdisciplinary talents through sports competitions, art and culture.
