Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Taliban showed pictures of hundreds of pieces of military equipment left by the coalition forces during their withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The pictures, which were published by the official page of the Arab Defense on Twitter, showed a large number of military equipment, Hummers, and heavy vehicles.

The page indicated that the Taliban had acquired US weapons and military equipment worth $7.2 billion, which were left by US forces before their withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

Spanish security forces have arrested three Latin Americans and have released five women from Venezuela and Colombia who were victims of sexual exploitation in Madrid.

The investigation began almost a year ago. The detainees are two men and a woman, the victims are all under 25 years of age and were traveling to Spain deceived, officials of the Civil Guard reported this Friday at a press conference in Cáceres.

According to the agents, the detainees laundered the profits with a dataphone from a hospitality business and transferred money to countries such as Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela.

Some 300 packages of cocaine, cell phones and cash were seized in the operation; 12 bank accounts were blocked.

The detainees are suspected of the crimes of human trafficking, belonging to a criminal group, money laundering and drug trafficking.

At the end of the water conference in New York, UN Secretary-General António Guterres called on countries to fight once morest drinking water shortages. The UN water conference has been running since Wednesday. It was the first major UN meeting since 1977 to deal exclusively with the subject of water. The United Nations had sounded the alarm in the face of a global water crisis: the water cycle had been broken, ecosystems destroyed and groundwater contaminated. Two billion people, one in four, do not have adequate access to clean water. And the global shortage of drinking water will continue to increase. Minister of Agriculture Norbert Totschnig (ÖVP) spoke for Austria in his speech to the General Assembly for a UN special envoy.

The World Resources Institute, which analyzed the conference, concluded that the New York meeting was a needed wake-up call on the issue of water. A number of the voluntary commitments might mean a turning point and influence the development towards drinking water.
