Catherine Parr (1512-1548) was the last of the six wives of Henry VIII (1547-1509). In particular, she was preceded in the king’s bed by Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, who were both beheaded on the orders of their husbands. If the first was at the heart of several films, and was notably embodied by Natalie Portman in Two Sisters for a King (2008), this is not the case for Catherine Parr, little represented on screen. Here it is in the center of the queen gamea British production directed by Karim Aïnouz, author of an unknown work between fiction and documentary.
