Cattle barns will be built at Cliff House and the perimeter wall will be reinforced; 42.90 lakh has been sanctioned

Thiruvananthapuram: It has been decided to rebuild the wall around Cliff House, the official residence of the Chief Minister, and to build a new cowshed. The government has sanctioned Rs 42.90 lakh for this.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the construction. The Public Works Department had issued a letter on May 7 last year for the reconstruction of the perimeter wall and the construction of the stables. The Chief Engineer had prepared a detailed estimate for this. In view of this, the government approved and issued the order on June 22.

It was a great shame for the police that Yuva Morcha activists stormed the Cliff House premises as part of the anti-K-Rail agitation. This was followed by a security breach. It was following this that the decision was made to strengthen and rebuild the perimeter wall.
