CD&V chairman Sammy Mahdi puts forward ‘senior plan’: “Our local electoral lists must consist of at least 20 percent over 60s”

“If there’s one thing we need more in the new year, it’s a little more respect.” That was the message of CD&V chairman Sammy Mahdi to 2,000 party members at his party’s New Year’s reception in the Gare Maritiem at Tour & Taxis, where CD&V also has its new headquarters. Mahdi also announced that in the 2024 local elections, at least 20 percent of candidates will be over 60.
