“CGET welcomes rejection of pseudo SADR’s legal attack on UK-Morocco trade agreement by British justice”

The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) welcomes the rejection by the British justice of the action of the pseudo SADR once morest the trade agreement linking Morocco and the United Kingdom.

This is a victory for Moroccan and British companies, which will continue to trade calmly and take full advantage of this agreement, which illustrates the friendly relations between the two countries. It will also create growing business opportunities, providing additional added value to consumers and businesses and supporting common economic development.

As a reminder, in December 2022, the legal attack on this association agreement by the Western Sahara Campaign UK was categorically rejected. Today, in another strong endorsement of the UK/Morocco trading relationship, the appeal request was also rejected.

This decision can no longer be appealed and therefore absolutely removes the legal threat to trade flows between the United Kingdom and Morocco.

It should be noted that the British government has always given priority to United Kingdom-Morocco trade, which increased by almost 50% in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the fourth quarter of 2021.
