Monday Sep 4, 2023 Winners of District Chess Championship
Arpit S Bijoy in the open category and Veda Ravindran in the girls category became the champions in the district chess competition organized by the State Chess Technical Committee of the Kannur State Sports Council for under 19 years. Arya G Mallar, VT Nandagopal, Roshan Hari in the open category and Navyashi Rajeev, Naja Fatima and S Kasnisri S in the girls category have qualified to compete for the district in the State U-19 Chess Championship at Kazakote on 9 and 10. District Sports Council President KK Pavithran inaugurated the competition at Krishna Menon Memorial Women’s College. Dr. PH Shanawas distributed the prize. VU Sebastian presided.
