Champs-Élysées New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Light Show: France 2’s Unexpected Entertainment

2024-01-01 19:49:00

This Sunday evening, hundreds of thousands of people gathered on the Champs-Élysées to watch the traditional fireworks and light show for the New Year, projected on the Arc de Triomphe. France 2, present on site to host the evening, attempted an entertainment which did not go as planned…

Around 10 p.m., the entertainers tried to throw a gigantic “ola” through the crowd, taking the opportunity at the same time to try to break the world record for the largest human wave. Despite their enthusiasm, the ola did not take at all. Only the first rows followed, but the wave did not go much further. Which had the gift of making viewers laugh, many of whom made fun of it on social networks.
