Chief Secretary for Administration Chan Kwok-kei delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the CUHK anniversary, saying that the government supports universities in expanding their talent pool in Hong Kong. Hong Kong’s “Eight Centers” develop related disciplines, and 35% of them are studying STEAM-related disciplines.

Chen Guoji said that in order to promote scientific research, the authorities will increase the number of postgraduate courses funded by the UGC to 7,200; Scientific research and talent cultivation.
