On Monday evening, Karl Nehammer was the last guest in the ORF “summer talk” this year. The Federal Chancellor and ÖVP leader was also allowed to let his gaze wander through the renovated plenary hall in Parliament at the beginning. The visitors’ gallery made Nehammer pathetic: it strengthened his feeling “that politics is there for the people”.
