Changes to the Catalyst of Revival in Season 3 – World of Warcraft

2023-10-19 13:36:00

The Dragonflight Catalyst will be updated with patch 10.2: Guardians of the Dream. We learn, through the latest build, that the catalyst for renewal will be available from the first week of season 3. However, players will only obtain a charge every two weeks instead of every week.

Blizzard specifies that following the early opening of the catalyst, Amidrassil armor tokens will continue to drop at the current rate of 1:3 compared to regular loot. However, this should benefit non-raid players, as the studio implies:

By moving more of the tier acquisition towards the Revival Catalyst and away from token drops, we expect players to complete their set bonuses at the same rate or faster than in the Season 2. While raiding players will still have an advantage at the start of the season, players who prefer not to raid will be much closer to them than before.

Note that the catalyst will have a new currency in patch 10.2: the Renascent Dream. You don’t have to do anything to get it, you will receive one automatically every two weeks.

Finally, know that the Veteran equipment that you will obtain in the open world in the Emerald Dream can be used in the catalyst. This is an item that you can collect in the different weekly quests.
