Several artists at the height of their popularity – including Charlotte Cardin and Loud – will set the stages of Caraquet ablaze in the coming months.
The Caraquet Cultural Center made the announcement on Tuesday, unveiling its programming until 2023.
The festivities will begin with the summer season, under the theme “A summer show”, with shows presented free of charge every Thursday evening, from July 14 to August 25, on the Fogley Beach site. Moncton teenage band Écarlate, country folk singer Sara Dufour, country singer Annie Blanchard, Montreal duo Les Deuxluxes, Madawaska band La Patente, Acadian band BAIE and Montreal multi-instrumentalist of Colombian origin Ramon Chicharron will be there.
On September 22, Louis-Jean Cormier will perform his show “When Night Falls” at the Cultural Centre. Former singer of the group Karkwa, he has four successful albums to his credit.

The performance hall will then receive, on September 30, rapper Loud’s “No promise” tour, with the opening act of young Quebec rapper Larry Kidd. Loud, who won four Félix awards, including Male Performer of the Year in 2019, intends to continue his momentum of more than 120 sold-out shows.
Then, on October 7, the group BAIE will be back in the region to present the show-launch of its first album. The Innu poet-slammer, author and actress from Pessamit, Natasha Kanapé-Fontaine, will be there on November 13.
The 2022 program will end in style at the Carrefour de la mer, on November 24, with the show “Phoenix” by Charlotte Cardin, which is enjoying enormous critical success and which is amassing millions of plays on streaming platforms. His first album won him several awards in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada. Her first tour sold out, including New York and Los Angeles.
Toronto singer Charlie Houston will provide her opening act.
The end of the program will be marked by the show “Grand voyage disorganized” by Gaspésien Patrice Michaud on March 16, 2023; the concert by country singer Guylaine Tanguay “À ma way” on March 24 and the one-man show “Au pic pis à shovel” by comedian Sam Breton on April 29. All these shows will be presented at the Carrefour de la mer.
Tickets for the 2022-2023 program will be available from June 8, except for those for Charlotte Cardin, which will be on June 13.
