In Cheboksary, there is a deterioration in the epidemiological situation regarding influenza and ARVI. There are more people hospitalized. About this at planning meeting of city officials said Deputy Head of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor of Chuvashia Vera Golovach.

According to her, the number of people hospitalized with a diagnosis of influenza and ARVI doubled last week. Children are most often affected – 80%.

“The Education Department was instructed to ensure control over the morbidity situation and, if necessary, to suspend the educational process in the event of a threat of mass morbidity,” said the acting director. Head of the city of Cheboksary Denis Spirin.
