Chechnya’s leader proposes that Russia send half of its security forces to Ukraine

MADRID, 24 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The leader of the Russian region of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has proposed to the Kremlin to send half of the agents of the Russian security forces to the war in Ukraine, as they will be able to “demolish any Western army”.

Kadirov has launched a message on Telegram in which he defends that the staff of the security forces is large and “has good physical training and weapons skills.”

The Chechen leader, one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s confidants, has pointed to the mobilization of members of Russia’s security agencies, including special teams.

“This is regarding five million people who regularly pass the physical standards. If you leave 50 percent of the employees in their official positions, the other half of them … will demolish any Western army,” he argued.

Kadirov’s proposal seeks not to have to mobilize the reservists, as the Kremlin had predisposed at the beginning of the week, when it reported a “partial mobilization” of the population and the sending to Ukraine of some 300,000 retired soldiers.

“Russia is a huge country, and there are so many resources in it that NATO and the West will get tired of counting. There are many more military resources than one can imagine,” Kadyrov added.
