After having seen the majority focus on films aimed at Mauricio de Sousa Produções’ main franchise, now it’s time to finally see other comics go to cinemas, with production focused on the character Chico Bento.
Entitled “Chico Bento and the Maravian Goiabeira”, the new film is scheduled to hit cinemas next year and features 10-year-old Minas Gerais influencer Isaac Amendoim in the lead role, accompanied by children Anna Júlia Dias (Rosinha), Pedro Dantas (Zé Lelé), Lorena Oliveira (Tábata), Davi Okabe (Hiro), Guilherme Tavares (Zé da Roça) and Enzo Enrique (Genesinho).
In the teaser released yesterday, the focus was entirely on Chico Bento and some farm animals such as the donkey Teobaldo and the chicken Taliba, raising the ball on a story involving Nhô Lau’s guava tree (Luis Lobianco) and which will be the setting of this film.
“A case full of dangers, mysteries and guava trees. Some will laugh, others will cry, some will laugh while crying. (…) And this is the story of when they decided to cut down Nhô Lau’s guava tree.”
