This initiative aims to introduce children aged 7 to 12 to the exciting world of performance, fostering their cultural engagement adn creative expression.

The centerpiece of the project is a five-day theater workshop scheduled for the autumn holidays, running from October 13th to 17th, 2025. Experienced theater educators Anne Decker and Michelle Koprow will guide the young participants.

Creative exploration will unfold in inspiring locations like Langenselbold Castle and the Klosterberghalle. Children will delve into themes through movement, voice, object work, scene advancement, and imaginative play.

The workshop culminates in a special public performance for family and friends on the final Friday afternoon. A preliminary trial day on september 24, 2025, will offer a chance for everyone to connect and spark initial ideas.

Following the workshop, a regular theater group will be established, meeting every two weeks on Thursdays at 5 p.m. in the Langenselbold Schlosskeller. This group will collectively develop its own original play.

The Evangelical parish, youth promotion, and the cultural management of Langenselbold city are supporting the theater group. Local specialists are also collaborating to ensure its success.

This enriching project is a collaboration between Langenselbold’s cultural management and youth promotion departments, alongside the Evangelical parish of Langenselbold. It receives support from the state association of professional freelance arts Hesse (Laprof).
