China Stock Market: Shanghai Composite Open 10.69 Negative, Markets Watch PMI

The Shanghai Composite Index, the Chinese stock market, opened negative today. Because investors are still worried that The Chinese government’s use of strict measures to control the spread of COVID-19 will cause the economy to slow down.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened at 3,216.53, down 10.69, or -0.33%.

Investors keep an eye on Chinese economic data today. The China National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) will release the Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for the manufacturing and service sectors in August at 8:30 a.m. Thai time.
